What I’m Thankful For

“Gobble! Gobble! Hooray! Hooray!” For Thanksgiving I am thankful for food, family and Dr. Gilmore.
To begin with, I like to eat. So, I am going to help my grandma and my mom make the Thanksgiving feast. Maybe we’ll have turkey, all types of pies, mashed potatoes, stuffing and carrots. Yummy!
Also, I am thankful for my family. I will celebrate with my cousins, Ryan, Nia, Nikala, Auntie Ruth and Uncle Nick, Auntie Yvonne and Uncle Tom. My grandparents, my mother, my brother Alex and my sister Zoie will be there, too.
Last of all, I’m thankful for Dr. Gilmore, because she gives me lessons on what I need help on. She is a very good friend. She spends time with me so I can learn.
I’m going to have fun all Thanksgiving. It makes me feel very happy.

Holiday Special

Christmas day helps me feel happy! Christmas is a great celebration day. On my Christmas break, I will party, have a good time and be grateful.
First of all, I will get together with my family and friends and have fun. We will play games. I will ask if we can go to the movies.
Second, I will celebrate during the Christmas holidays. I will open presents and give a few gifts to others. I hope I get a Wii game called Skylanders.
Later, I will be grateful for everybody who gave me presents, especially Santa Claus and my parents. I will be thankful for everybody who fought and died in the wars.
Last of all, I will do everything including having a very, very good time. I’m glad for Christmas.

My Family’s Chanukah

One Chanukah night, I set the table, and I lit the Menorah. It was fun. I lit one candle on the Menorah. I will get to blow the candles out. I like to blow candles out. I will get one present each day. That’s fun!
After I do that stuff, I have to pray. I will be so excited, because after that, we are going to eat. I will eat potato latkes. They are good! Then, we are going to sing. We will go to synagogue. We’ll sing again there.
I celebrate Chanukah for eight nights and eight days. I will get eight presents. I want an American Girl doll. Happy Chanukah!

The Weird Turkey

One happy turkey morning, my family and I were in our friends’ backyard. We wanted to go hunting for a turkey on Thanksgiving. We caught the turkey, and we put it in the backyard, but it kept running away.
The weird turkey flew to the right, and we ran to the left. We blocked the yummy turkey and grabbed it.
Yolanda made the turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. We had turkey, of course, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes - with marshmallows. We had apple and pumpkin pie for dessert. Yolanda is an excellent cook.
My family and friends ate the feast. Later, we were all sooo full. We all said to Yolanda, “I can’t believe I ate the whole thing!” We all laughed and laughed and laughed. We had an amazing Thanksgiving.

Luke’s Holiday Story

Look, look, look! I can’t wait until Christmas and Hanukah. I want to play with my friends, spend time with my family and open my presents.
To start with, I will play Kill the Guy with the Ball with Garrett, Matthew, Jamie and Nicholas. Someone has the ball, and literally, you must tackle him.
Next, I will have fun with my family. We will do things together
.     Last of all, I open a present and I see a green Electric Razor Scooter. It is off-road. I will open one present every day for eight days for Hanukah.
Open, open, open. It will be great!
