Dr. Helen Gilmore counsels many parents who need help with their child’s educational progress. She is available to attend parent conferences at the schools. There is a consulting fee for these services and appointments are required.

     I.Q. testing is available at the Helen Gilmore Learning Center to assess qualification for the Gifted Education program and Specific Learning Disabilities in the public school system. Licensed school psychologists administer evaluations at the Center; the results are accepted by the school system. Results are given verbally the day of the evaluation, and a written report is mailed shortly after.

     A full range of enrichment or remedial tutoring is offered to all ages for any subject. This includes prepping for the GED, SAT, etc. and various vocational academies. Adult refresher courses and "Computers from Scratch" lessons are offered. Students learn one-on-one, with experienced tutors. All tutors are certified in the subject they teach; most are public school teachers with many years experience and most have masters' degrees. The tutoring schedule is customized to fit the family's busy schedule. After school, or weekends are popular times.
