What Makes Your Tail Wag?
In a recent tutoring session, first grader Beauregard Pearl, whom Dr. Gilmore has tutored since he was two, was reading a story about Why Dogs Wag Their Tails? At the end, he read that the king of the beasts, when asked by the dog how he could wag his tail, advised the dog to think about what made him happy. As the dog thought of his friends, his tail began to wag. Dr. Gilmore asked Beauregard, “What makes you happy – what makes your tail wag?” Beauregard looked up and quickly answered, “Coming here to learn with you.” Dr. Gilmore wept.
